The Wiltshire Wailers are brought to you by….
CHRIS SAMUEL
Chris is one of the South West’s best-known community choir leaders and has been teaching harmony singing workshops since 2003. He runs two community choirs in Wiltshire (aka the Wiltshire Wailers) and is also Musical Director for The Magnificent AKs, a motley crew of some of Wiltshire’s finest singing blokes.
He's a performer with The Spooky Men's Chorale when they're in Europe and with the (increasingly busy) fun-sized band of UK Spooks - A Fistful of Spookies.
He is a Trustee on the board of the Natural Voice Network (NVN) and in 2021 was elected as co-chair of the board and is passionate about the NVN’s approach to open-access, community based singing for all.
LISA SAMUEL
Lisa Samuel organises and manages the choirs, and is our members’ first point of contact for questions and inquiries. She has been singing in community choirs for over a decade and is also a regular attendee of Wiltshire Wailers rehearsals, so you’re sure to meet her if you come and join us!
Lisa is the head programmer of the renowned Bradford Roots Festival - a music festival held in Bradford on Avon in January each year. She promotes local live music events for a range of artists and has lots in experience various roles in the UK folk scene - including as Merchandise Manager for The Spooky Men’s Chorale.
